The Barossa Wine Region

The Barossa has some of the oldest shiraz vineyards in the world and is the home of many famous brand name wines in Australia including the world famous Penfold’s Grange.
The Barossa itself is made up of two regions, the Barossa Valley and Eden Valley. The two are divided by the Barossa Ranges. The entire Barossa region is famous for Shiraz wine and the cooler climate Eden Valley is renowned for world class Riesling. These wine varieties aren’t the only specialties of the Barossa. The colour is a dense red, aromas are rich, ripe berry fruits with peppery spice with concentrated plum, blackberry fruits with licorice flavours. Fine, firm tannins with layers of spicy complexity ending with a very long finish.
