Margaret River Wine Region

It was established in 1967 and yet it is now one of the premier wine producing regions in the world and is responsible for over 20% of the premium wine market in Australia. The area stretches just over 100km and is home to well over 100 wine producers, most of them small, boutique wineries.
The climate and overall growing conditions are ideal for producing high quality fruit with intense flavor. The climate is much like that of the Mediterranean. It is relatively dry with no extreme temperatures and ideal humidity.
Consequently the Margaret River region is famous for wines with a great depth of colour, intense fruit flavours, length and elegance.
Margaret River chardonnay is hailed as amongst the finest in the world. The region is also famous for Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot.
