Buy Grenache Online
Grenache originated in Spain and France and is grown in Australia mostly in McLaren Vale, the Barossa Valley and the Clare Valley. McLaren Vale in particular produces excellent Grenache wine. The climate is Mediterranean with four distinctive seasons and the soil is well suited to the Grenache variety.
Typical Grenache flavours are blackberry, cherry, raisins with aromas of mint, licorice, pepper and tobacco leaf.
Grenache is soft on the palate and usually has a high alcohol content.
It’s often blended with other varieties, the most notable blend being Grenache, Shiraz and Mourvèdre (GSM).
Pair with Indian, pasta and meat dishes.
